Athiq is a nation with a history almost as long as Ayrela. Among its lush forests and surging rivers the first civilization of the world was born, and it is believed that the Getian language was originally created here. By the year 50, Athiqan scholars had created an elaborate writing system, a now-lost national library, and had begun formalizing their ideas about calculus.
After centuries of successive hostile takeovers, the Athiqan people are finally enjoying their first taste of autonomy in hundreds of years. Although it is no longer the gleaming beacon of civilization it once was, its people still hold onto their pride and dignity, and the soil still holds onto countless treasures…
